Would you like to be part of a friendly and happy school community?

This is what some of our children think of the school.

'At Earls Colne Primary School and Nursery we are like a family of hard working individuals.

We complete many exciting topics during our journey through school, such as; Chocolate, Carnivals, Deadly Disasters and many more.

Our classrooms are bright and colourful which helps to makes learning fun and enjoyable! As well as that, the adults in school are always there to help us if we need it.

We have many events to support the school during the year, such as: bonfire night with spectacular fireworks, show stopping year group performances and the Christmas Fayre.

At Earls Colne, staff and children are all friendly, thoughtful and considerate to each other.

However long your journey at Earls Colne Primary School, we will always be by your side.'

By Year 3/4

If your child is due to start school or transfer to secondary school then you need to apply for a school place. All the information you need for the process can be found on the link to the Essex Schools admissions page found below.

Admissions to the Primary School and Nursery are considered seperately by the Admissions Committee of the School's Governing Body.  Although we would hope that most children will transfer from our nursery into the main school there is no automatic right of transfer.

Parents must complete a common Application Form (CAF) which they will reveive from the local authority and return it before the closing date.

If you wish to transfer your child to a school mid-term please look at the information on the Essex Schools Admissions  page.

'Thank you for a most enjoyable morning! The children were most attentive and responsive - a delight! I think a lot of this must be down to the staff who are very enthusiastic and encouraging. Good to experience a school as good as this!'

Anthony Pedley (the BFG)

As a Foundation Primary School we accept boys and girls rising 5s to 11 years. In September 2014 we had 309 children on roll.

Our intended number to admit in September 2014 was 60.
