In Lower Phase, Middle Phase and Upper Phase, the foundation subjects have been organised into two year rolling programmes of study, Year A and Year B. This ensures that all children experience the same opportunities for learning as they progress through the school.
Each term children will focus their learning around a central theme with foundation subjects linked to it wherever possible. This provides a meaningful learning experience for the children rather than lessons in a single subject area. They thrive in an environment where they could, for example, be developing artistic, historical and technological skills at the same time in one lesson.
Our themes were created following suggestions from children, parents and staff.
The teachers plan differentiated learning for the children in their class or phase to ensure that every child has the opportunity to achieve.

EARLS COLNE VILLAGE CAROL SERVICE
Due to continued bad weather, the school will not be participating in the Earls Colne Village Carol service tonight.
Unfortunately, due to sheet ice around and on the school site we have had to make the decision to close the school we would not be able to guarantee the safety of children and staff in the current circumstances.
Click here to find out about our amazing Fireworks Display. We raised a whopping £6758 for our school.
