Inspiring all children to create and achieve
At Earls Colne we value the partnership between parents and the school highly and believe that together we can create a successful, happy school, which is caring and inclusive.
Parents and relatives are encouraged to come into school to work with individuals or groups of children and share their knowledge and talents. They often make valuable contributions to topic work, help children with art and craft, and bring a wealth of experience to enhance our children's learning. The time parents spend in school regularly listening to children read, helping with spellings or number work, among other things is invaluable. We would normally ask that they go to a class other than that of their own child or relative.
Please contact the school if you are interested in helping in any way.
We hold Parent Consultations in school, in both the Autumn and Spring Terms. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss the child's progress and set achievable goals for the year. A formal, written report is sent to parents during the Summer Term.
Should you feel that there is something you need to discuss with your child's teacher at any other time, please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient appointment.
Please check the information on the 'Emergency Notifications' page regularly to familiarise yourself with the procedures detailed there.
This page will be updated should an unforseen emergency occur (unless the situation prevents access to the Internet.)
